Clearly it's sad her partner told her to drive. Bad advice. Careful who your circle of trust is in this world, calmness was needed. The right thing would have been to stop. No matter what side you are on we have to be calm all situations. Listening to others will get you nowhere. It's tragic and praying for her family, it's just a bad situation all around.
