Not in todays nfl you dont. You get 1 step. If you touch the qb on step 2 you are getting a flag. The nfl has made it clear they want a league with healthy qbs. Lions got a roughing for a thumb touching loves helmet as an example. You cannot touch the qb in the pocket unless he has the ball. And even then you have to gently put him to the ground.

@DetroitPodcast I wonder if the defense had showed up the first 4-5 games of the season if he makes a different decision there. Hard to trust the worst defense in the nfl when you’re trying to win the game.
