Come along for the ride!
Sure, but the validation phase shouldn't take months or years.
I didn't build a landing page for two reasons:
- no idea where to advertise it
- not expecting customers to find me by using specific keywords
My approach was to talk about my service (e.g. on Kleinanzeigen) but it hasn't really worked out.
Best I could do was find two testers...
Currently I'm stuck and feel paralyzed. ๐ณ
I've built my latest side project for more than a month and have exactly 0 customers.
What did I built?
A tool that automates applying for apartments. It's working quite well, but I don't know how to find customers for it.
I have two options:
1) Cold approach people who are looking for apartments (e.g. on popular websites for classifieds).
2) Give up and build something else.
I have dozens of ideas and one currently sticks out since it's a passion of mine.
What would you do? #buildinpublic
@brianball I don't have a landing page, it's just a crawler with a database in the background and a notification system on top. I was trying to get customers by offering this service without building a landing page... ๐ง
I wonder if there is demand for an ImmoScout24 API access?
Or even an API that includes other platforms such as Kleinanzeigen and Immowelt.
For a side project I've scraped properties and could supply almost real time access.
Any tips on where I can find German developers? ๐ค
I have a really hard time to find customers for my latest side project.
Because of that, I'm starting to freelance a bit more again.
I've had a customer/project for 6+ years. I can always put in some hours into this project to earn money.
This is good.
But at the same time, it keeps me from *really* grinding (and finding those first customers for my side project).
@JanarJurisson True.
My hack is to just bookmark (using Raindrop and loving it) those stale tabs, then close them.
This way I trick myself into thinking I can always get back to it later.
(Yeah, sure!)
