A secret generated in multiple shares, say 5, with a threshold of 3 (could be up to 5) needing to be used together to authenticate.

Each key-share owned by a separate person.

Voting is different to almost all other services we use - it's almost impossible to rectify a result if fraud is identified.

Trusted eID used regularly in valuable services is a step towards a government and population trusting it for voting.

I have been trying to understand this for a while.

But, if the issuer has a certificate for their domain name from a CA, would a simple option for them not be to use eseals to sign attributes, also issued by CA?

Then we can use the OCSP, right?

@tahpot I think you're right that they don't need to be competitors. I think it's just there is overlap and redundancy if they are part of the same offering if a TSP is also playing a part.

@charliehrysmith I think the room might've gotten cold during the night, and maybe I didn't have the printing temperature high enough (had it at 200), and so maybe, the filament just stopped sticking.
