Tomorrow, July 7, is our wedding anniversary. Normally, the day before of today would be a time when I’d be feeling excited, but to be honest, I just can’t get into that mood this year.
I just received an email from FedEx, stating that they will terminate our contract if our monthly usage doesn’t exceed a certain amount.
Due to the tariffs and CPSC issue, number of orders have dropped, and with no prospect of them increasing in the future, my contract with FedEx will likely be terminated sometime this year.
I can feel the end of my shop drawing ever closer. Even a business I’ve run for 13 years will come to an end in the blink of an eye.
I hope that on our wedding anniversary next year, I’ll be able to say to my wife, “Last year, we were all worried the store might close, but it turned out to be a false alarm.”
