Super excited to introduce MaxIQ!
A college basketball film study page focused on the details that help college players be successful and contribute to winning.
I use film breakdowns highlighting under-the-radar players and conferences across all levels of college basketball.
Breaking down Wagner’s upset win over CCSU in the NEC QF:
Ran CCSU off the three-point line and forced contested threes • Forced CCSU into long twos outside the paint, where they shot 2–11 • Won key defensive
sequences that flipped the momentum
MaxIQ Breakdown ⬇️
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD March 1st:
Jordan Riley | East Carolina
In the win over Memphis, Reilly’s shot-making and defensive activity were the difference.
He created separation off the bounce, knocked down tough shots, and impacted the game on both ends.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 24th:
AJ Dancler | Coastal Carolina
In the win over Georgia State, Dancler was flat-out unguardable.
He scored 32 points on 60% shooting, using his speed and craftiness off the dribble to break down defenders and get wherever he wanted on the floor.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 23rd:
Larry Johnson | McNeese State
In the conference win over UTRGV, Johnson was electric in the open floor.
He blew by every defender they threw at him, putting pressure on the defense and finishing at the rim.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 22nd:
Geoff Sprouse | American
In the win over Lafayette, Sprouse’s off-ball movement and shot-making were on full display.
He knocked down 8 triples by reading the defense — finding the open voids against zone and catching his defender sleeping in man.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 19th:
Camren Hunter | Central Arkansas
In the win over Stetson, Hunter’s ability to stretch the floor and attack closeouts was huge.
Hunter finished with 30 points, 6 threes, and 6 assists — putting together a dominant offensive performance.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 18th:
RJ Johnson | Kennesaw State
In the win over Missouri State, Johnson was a huge difference-maker.
His combination of size and speed at the guard spot was too much to handle, constantly getting downhill and making plays at the rim.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 17th:
Colby Garland | San Jose State
Garland was the reason SJSU was able to upset Nevada and be so effective offensively.
He manipulated ball screens to create open looks for teammates, while also getting his own by playing physical and getting to his spots in the paint.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 16th:
Azmar Abdullah | Boston U
In the win over Colgate, Abdullah put on a shooting clinic.
He was a perfect 8-for-8 from three, knocking them down in a variety of ways — flying off screens, catch-and-shoot, and off the bounce.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 15th:
Braeden Speed | Loyola Maryland
In the win over Holy Cross, Speed nearly posted a triple-double and had complete control of the offense.
He created open looks for shooters all night, while also getting into the paint, using his body, and finishing at the rim.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 14th:
Paulius Murauskas | Saint Mary’s
In the win over Pacific, Murauskas put on a scoring masterclass.
Dropped 32 points while only missing 4 shots. His touch and size around the rim, plus his ability to stretch the floor, was too much to handle.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 12th:
Darin Smith | Central Connecticut
In the win over New Haven, Smith dropped 40 points and completely took over offensively.
Smith was able to finish at the rim through contact and rise up over defenders to get to his midrange game.
Tulsa’s drag ball screens in early offense are extremely tough to guard.
When the defense isn’t set, teams can’t get into their normal ball screen coverage. This leads to no help and easy downhill drives.
Here, Tylen Riley turns the corner with zero ball screen help.
MaxIQ Mid-Major POD Feb 11th:
Collin Parker | Austin Peay
In a huge conference win, Parker dropped 39 points to lift the Governors, improving them to 12–1 in conference play and keeping them in first place.
Queens had no answer for him. His size and physicality in the post, plus his ability to step out and shoot it, made him basically unguardable.
