@CX36351402@TheMindScourge The vast majority of elite level sports (and elite level most things) are not generally good for people. Running has to be better than a lot of alternatives that cause brain damage and such.
@macleanw@UNC_Pres @JacobTurnerTHI He also shot the 3 really well this year. I’d be pessimistic about his ability to return and dramatically improve his stock. I don’t think coming back is worth the risk.
@ryria91@ColeTrim06@MikeHoopsPage Huh? Groups of donors are paying players to play. A series of micro endorsements from a basketball player is not worth remotely near the 100k-1.5M that they get. It’s straight up pay to play. The vast majority of massive NIL deals are not remotely profitable for the company.
@ryria91@ColeTrim06@MikeHoopsPage Their “true market worth” is a number near 0. They are only getting money to make the team better. Instead of a company or person donating to a department, they can now make a direct impact by buying a player. NIL doesn’t operate in a real genuine market.
With all of the talk about Kentucky hiring Mark Pope - amazing timing for this article:
Great group of @MaxLane21, @NelsPopp, & @JAJensenPhD tackling the decision of hiring a coach from "inside the family"

@Playboiiiiiii_J@Hunter_Oakley@ebnest123 There is absolutely nothing about Bacot’s overall athleticism that would make him an NBA prospect at any point. He turned himself into a much better player with Hubert, but he just lacks the physical and natural skill tools to be a true NBA guy. Have to be great at both
@Travis_Sawchik@JonPgh If he wants to maximize his “productive” innings for the pirates, it might be ideal to leave him down. Him pitching 2 innings at the MLB level could cost us games.
@Jordan_Walker_ @JacobTurnerTHI We also only scored 5 points in the first 8 minutes with Trimble and Cadeau, so the success in the first half was not carrying over to the second.
@uncheels42@tweets_scotts@JoshGrahamShow He was an efficient player and great rebounder, there aren’t a ton of bigs in the country better than him. They’ll almost certainly be a big decline at C next season. He doesn’t play an exciting game nor a good pro game but he’s both good and valuable
@Jordan_Walker_ @JacobTurnerTHI I think it was clear that they were being baited to shoot, and still willing to give them no respect. Wojcik was an attempt to stretch the floor, which helped Davis get downhill. I’d rather have gambled on Davis heating up than those two hitting 3s, just didn’t pan out
@b_bolby @colind35 @BrettKollmann Steph Curry is the closest you could possibly get to this, and yeah, teams with good shooters you can’t play zone against
