"So the first Gresley Pacific design never proceeded beyond the paper stage. For the sake of Gresley's reputation, this is probably just as well, for the curious combination of Ivatt with Churchward was very unlikely to have achieved the outstanding success" - Cecil J. Allen
You know, I thought me saying that this reboot shit having a tiny sliver of potential was going to be one of the more "out there" opinions yesterday, but clearly I was dumb to not consider the possibility of the most batshit insane discourse possible happening on day fucking one.
Anyways uhhhhhh actual review time:
This reboot has the potential to become something that I can actually see myself enjoying, but I'm not holding out much hope (Then again, me giving it a chance despite my several dozen misgivings means it's already doing better than AEG did)
But then again, I'm like 4-7x older than the intended target audience, so really, what business do I have going complaining about the modern state of a brand whose golden age already came and went before I was even born?

@MoeDoug3 I know we know he was going to be in it thanks to the merch. That doesn't change the fact that Big Mickey still appeared in the show before he did.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything for Thomas' (actual) 80th anniversary that wouldn't just be me reposting an old render or making a new render of a model I've already shown off before so uhhhhhh
Incomplete RWS Thomas?
@Eruptorplays A quick thing I wanna point out regarding A&C
They didn't use the same pair of Stroudley coaches from Series 1-5. During production of Series 3, they threw out the original S1 ones and replaced them with new Tenmille Stroudleys
Keep seeing people talk about how "real" the photo of Henry from Thomas and the Rumours looked, so I thought, "Hey, why not just take the next step and slap a door on the front of him?"
@PeterTWolf1 Given that the NWR isn't the LMS, they would've been given a number range of their own that had yet to be taken.
I usually tend to prefer the 59000-59999 range for this reason, but 50000 - 50454 was also open for the taking, and 50003 was an easier edit to do than 59003.
@SodorPro@snow_machine01@starlightfan02 It could've still been Urbankiller for all we know, and maybe the version of Ghost Train that was uploaded in December 2012 was just a repost from a different site that went defunct, but who knows how long it'll take to confirm that.
@SodorPro@snow_machine01@starlightfan02 If it were still 2025, I would've said it was Urbankiller135 who made Timothy back in Dec. 2012, but @/Ricardo19992009 found an SiF thread that shows Timothy has actually existed since at least July 2011. So yeah, saying we don't know who made him is correct.
BRO I'm stupid as fuck I just realized the year on the builders plate has been wrong this whole time
Good thing its so small in the renders that you can barely tell it says 1926 on the thing when it should've said 1924
@GreenWellTank21 In the Southern Railway's case, maybe they were too big, but if they had been owned by any of the other Big 4 railways or their pre-grouping counterparts, they would've been as averagely sized as averagely sized could get.
In other news, I already have plans for sequel stories! However, before I revisit George, I at least want to write stories about other engines first.
I won't reveal what's exactly in store for him yet, but do know that the next time you see George, he won't be red anymore.
Wow, can't believe it's been a month already!
I would've liked to commemorate this with the release of Trainz models for George, but unfortunately, things do take time. I can't say for sure when they'll be released, but I hope to make it happen before the end of the year.
Well, would you look at that, it's my birthday again!
And what better way to celebrate than to finally release my first (successful) attempt at writing an RWS-style book to the wider fandom!
Happy reading! https://t.co/HKBAUXpHwr
You can all rag on me all you want for pulling this image out every time the size of the E2s gets brought up in a conversation, but I know that it will forever always be correct because nothing ever truly changes in this fandom
