The Russians started installing electronic warfare (EW) systems on Shahed/Geran-type long-range UAVs to jam Ukrainian interceptor drones attempting to reach them, Ukrainian radio military technology expert Serhii Flash reported.

According to him:

💬 "Electronic warfare on the Shaheds tries to interfere with the transmission of the video signal from the interceptor to the video reception feed on the ground"

💬 "That is, the signal level from the Shahed's electronic warfare transmitter is stronger than from the transmitter on the interceptor, so the receiver on the ground does not see the image from the interceptor"

💬 "How does the enemy know at what frequencies our video on the interceptors works? This is actually open information from the manufacturers"
