I don't really know who YMS is or why he's trending, but I did watch that Lion King/Kimba video of his & hoo boy, it sucks! He spends 2+ hours focusing on all the ways Kimba and Lion King are different so as to gaslight the viewer into ignoring the core striking similarities🧵...

In general, I actually prefer the look of Y2K digital coloring vs contemporary anime coloring. The flat colors put more emphasis on the drawings themselves. In a lot of new stuff, the drawings tend to get overwhelmed by all the glows and gradients and textures.
