๐จ Pope Leo XIV has delivered a hard hitting speech to EU leaders, calling out the 'rejection of the Christian inspiration of the founding fathers of the EU'
He also said that Europe is facing 'DRASTIC STERILITY' because 'too many have been deprived of the right to be born' and 'because there has been a failure to pass on the material and cultural tools that young people need to face the future'
@Trentologna@DanWoikeSports Ten and a half quartersโฆ as in, 2 full games plus the first 2.5/4 quarters of this third game, which is when this was written
@Trytinpt2@Bryce_Estelle Nah youโre doing way too much dude. And โrefs were shit all the way aroundโ is completely delusional, the entire world sees the lakers getting screwed at every turn. Imagine being a Thunder and G2 fan, just the most heinous combination imaginable.
@Trytinpt2@Bryce_Estelle โThe fact they didnโt get penalized because they were mad that they were hosed on calls is the reason why the refs were actually bad for both teamsโ
JJ Redick on the officiating:
"I sarcastically said the other day they were the most disruptive team without fouling. They have a few guys that foul on every possession, and all of the good defenses do. SGA get like a, I don't even know, a touch foul on a drive. There was a stretch where like four straight possessions our guys got absolutely clobbered. Tried to make a entry pass to Jaxson and Jaylin Williams was grabbing his jersey with both arms, and [that ends up being] a turnover. They're hard enough to play. They're hard enough to play. You gotta be able to just call it if they foul. And they do foul."
We've heard it a million times, but today is a good day to mention it again.

For three seasons, heโs chosen humility over headlines. Loyalty over limelight.
While others chase millions, he chose the grind behind #4 Jeremiyah Loveโbecause the team came first.
No ego. No complaints. Just grit, grace, and greatness.

"You can hardly open a periodical without coming across the statement that what our civilization needs is more 'drive', or dynamism, or self-sacrifice, or 'creativity'. In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful."

A friend of mineโintelligent, went to a great school, has a great jobโadmitted to me that she canโt read anymore. She was a bookworm in her youth, but she struggles to read more than two pages now.
I found myself developing this issue about a year ago. I would read a page and then have an overwhelming urge to check my email or open Twitter or text someone. Only solution was to put my phone in another room and commit to reading for a minimum of 1 hour. After about 5 pages I get engrossed, but for the first few minutes I still feel the pull of the smartphone.
But I think part of the reason I can still get into a reading flow is because I spent my childhood doing it. I know what itโs like to really get lost in a book; I have the muscle memory. I shudder to think how difficult developing a reading habit might have been if I had grown up with smartphones. Very possible Iโd never have read much. What an impoverished life.
And yes, civilizationally dangerous.
