Hello and welcome to my space. My name is David Okereke and this is not the first time I am on X.
In fact, I have been doing a lot of different things at a particular period.
Which didn't get me anywhere. I have a go and a story and I would like to share a thread. 🧵
Most Nigerians who try affiliate marketing quit after 2 weeks.
Not because it does not work.
Because nobody told them what actually works in Nigeria specifically.
Many people figured it out using one course.
Comment READY I will show you
Be honest.
I used to think that all I had to do was to post.
But with time, I realized that traffic is the life of business.
This has been 1 month since I have been posted consistently.
But I have been scheduling.
What’s actually stopping you from marketing your product?
I believe I can learn a new skill and start an online business at any age.
The only deadline is the one you decide on
Don't wait for opportunity. Take it.
What have you learned in your business?
Waiting costs you more than a wrong call ever will.
So what do I do now?
1. Set a deadline to decide
2. Pick with the info I have
3. Adjust on the way
Done beats perfect almost every time.
Make the call.
You can fix it once you're moving.
I’m slowly becoming less afraid of not knowing things.
Because I’ve realized being teachable is more valuable than pretending to already know everything.
Good afternoon Techies
What are you building today ?
“I don’t know what to promote.”
Don’t choose affiliate products just because commissions are high.
Choose products that match your audience’s pain.
Ask:
• Does this solve a real problem?
• Would I recommend it?
• Is the product beginner-friendly?
• Can I create content?
You don’t need 100k followers to make money online.
You need:
* A clear offer
* Valuable content
* Ability to communicate
* Consistency
Small audience. Big impact.
Affiliate marketing proved one thing to me:
You don't need to create products, own a business, or have a massive audience.
All you truly need is the ability to communicate value.
That's the game-changer.
Master that skill, and doors open.
Get it at a low price today
I used to think speed was a superpower.
Move fast.
Decide fast.
Win fast.
I was wrong and it cost me.
The best opportunities I've seen didn't reward the quickest person in the room.
They rewarded the most patient one.
A founder with 500 followers can outperform one with 10,000.
Because the right audience beats a bigger audience.
500 people who understand what you do can create more opportunities.
Would you choose 500 clear followers or 10,000 random ones?
You can have the certificate, the skills, the late nights in the library, and still be invisible.
Because nobody is searching libraries.
They're searching Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, X,
wherever people look before they hire, pay, or trust someone.
Are you building?
This is a hard realization
Reading 30 books yearly won't make you rich.
Do you what will
Building an actual business.
I used to be reading all the time. I thought that I was productive but I was only making my brain relaxed.
Are you invisible here?
Good. You’re still early.
Most creators quit before the algorithm even learns their name.
But the ones who keep replying win.
Visibility comes before money.
Comment “I’m still here” if you’re not giving up.
My X strategy is simple:
- Post 3x/day
- Comment 50x/day
It's not because I am a growth expert
But because I want to be intentional in my life
I want to live a life for myself with my own terms.
That is why I am building.
What else can we do to build on X?
Affiliate Marketing Is Boring (Which Is Why It Works)
Here's how it works:
You recommend a product (e.g., "I use Notion for budgeting")
Someone clicks your link and buys
You earn 5-30% commission (depends on product)
Why it works:
No inventory
