@ftblmenac I think the climate will play a big part. Spain will hold onto the ball well, so won’t have to chase much in heat. Brazil and Argentina already climatized and seem to play some very nice football whilst capable of playing deeper when needed. I haven’t thought about it much tho.
Mexico seem to be in a 3-2-5 shape in settled play. The LB pushes up high whilst the RB stays and forms the back 3. They aren’t afraid to go long and use Jimenez as a target forward. OOP they have pressed high up the pitch in 4-3-1-2 shape.
In conclusion Iraola is a fun and exciting appointment. He will suit the Liverpool DNA more than Slot. But the football so far has only worked at lesser teams. At Liverpool he will have to adapt his approach to ensure his team are more comfortable in games they should win.
