It’s annoying how we arrive at think pieces for a player who averages 31/9/8 for his playoff career based off what Brunson’s doing.

Luka’s been to the playoffs five times. Two of them were played where he was barely allowed to drink. The next year he came back down 0-2 and walked down the 1 seed before losing to the champs.

Then he took a five seed to the Finals before losing to a team no one was beating that year playing through injury.

And then finally he loses on a team with no center and no bench, which compelled JJ to play five starters all 24 minutes in a half with no breaks because they were that deficient.

There is no correlation to what Brunson’s doing with anything Luka hasn’t done. The Knicks have shooting, switchable wings on defense and size in the interior.

We need to stop making this deeper than it is.
