WITHDRAWING FROM THE SEMINARY

Many seminarians quietly discern leaving formation, yet the weight of family and societal expectations, along with the uncertainty of life outside the seminary, often keeps them in formation to endure till ordination.

Dear lay faithful, do not dehumanize those who have left the seminary or make life unbearable for them. Do not make them feel unwanted. Instead of judging those who leave or are withdrawn, welcome them, support them, and help reintegrate them into society.

It is far better to have men who willingly chose to leave formation than men who endure until ordination only to become struggling priests.

Save our formation.
Save our vocation.
