I have been using ChatGPT Live more often recently and I definitely miss ability to just paste the initial prompt. It is annoying to repeat myself every time I want to, for example, practice my Chinese. I hope OpenAI will continue improving it.

GitButler has an interesting idea of virtual branches. I can assign changes to different features/fixes (that will result in independent Github PRs) but locally work in a single "integrated" branch that contains everything together. Not sure how well it will work in practice yet.

After so many years developing in a typescript monorepo is still a shit show with things not being isolated/hoisted correctly by default and typecheck breaking every once in a while. Sure pnpm helps a lot but can we have it *just* work?

I have been using that "cheetah" model in Cursor today. It isn't smart enough be my daily driver but man. It feels a bit like the future where running an agent takes seconds instead of minutes.

I recently bought a new ergo keyboard and started learning Colemak layout instead of Qwerty to be nicer to my hands. Interestingly I can't stand it if I type too slow. I just can't force myself to use it. Today I hit 35wpm on a trainer and finally it became somewhat usable.

Tanstack Start was recently promoted to RC. There are some breaking changes but not many. I updated my relatively small app (~20 routes) in around 30 minutes. Most time spent on removing code working directly with h3 events that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Incorrectly configured mdm forced my macOs update to Tahoe. It caused a few problems, lagging browser being the worst one (I use Brave, but all Chrome-based browsers seem to be affected). To fix it, run `launchctl setenv CHROME_HEADLESS 1` in terminal and restart the browser.

I wish background agents (be it Cursor, Codex or Copilot) would open PRs only if all required Github checks pass. It shouldn't be that hard, right?

A few months ago, I found out Cloudflare D1 doesn't support transactions. That is a pity because wrangler DX is perfect for quickly starting a new project. And bringing an external db dependency kills the "magic" of it.

@shiroginne Ну по разному бывает. Япония большая. Мы например 20 дней отпуска даём + 5 (или около того) выходных от компании + в Японии 16 национальных праздников. Вроде не так уж и мало. Ребята совмещают отпуск с праздниками и спокойно уходят на 2 недели путешествовать.
