@a_windowlicker@DoDheriz@DemzDeliver It’s not “free” in the sense that nobody pays for it. It is “free at the point of use” for the families receiving it.
@BreachBandit Yes. If this is a public childcare program, it’s funded through city/state budgets (tax revenue). That’s not a scandal, that’s just how public services work. Public schools, pre-K, libraries, and subsidized childcare all work the same way.
@Ken_Lee_of_MT@AJA_JACINDA@PinoAmericano@Hunter_Eagleman Ken, stop acting like you're an expert on the experiences that gay people go through. You don't listen to what they say, nor do you care about their struggles. And yet you have to audacity to tell me what they did or didn't do in their childhood. Enough.
@Ken_Lee_of_MT@AJA_JACINDA@PinoAmericano@Hunter_Eagleman What looks 'forced' from the outside may actually be less forced than how they behaved before. The fact that a person's mannerisms change doesn't prove they're pretending; it may simply mean they're no longer editing themselves to fit other people's expectations.
@Ken_Lee_of_MT@AJA_JACINDA@PinoAmericano@Hunter_Eagleman Many gay people spend years consciously monitoring their voice, gestures, interests, and behavior to avoid being perceived as gay. After coming out, some stop suppressing those traits and become more comfortable expressing themselves.
@ted_tl@PinoAmericano Pride in this context is not the same as the pride you're talking about. And for someone who wants nothing to do with it, here you are.
@ted_tl@PinoAmericano Since you don't bother looking up why they celebrate pride in the first place, you rely on your preconceived notions. Why is that?
