Once I had a little disagreement with my girlfriend because of this, she posted a picture of herself on her WhatsApp status, then probably as an afterthought sent the same picture to my DM.

I ignored the picture and went on chatting with her like nothing happened,then she drew my attention to it, I simply told her to get the attention she was seeking from her contacts because if she wanted my attention she would have sent to me and me alone at that moment, she can grace her contacts with it much later on. You can't be trying to make someone feel special about you then go ahead to display lack of exclusivity.

So yes if she sends it to my DM,she gets the compliment, but on her status? I let her get the attention she's seeking
