I know there is a narrative the past few years that NFTs will thrive and live on L2s.

I disagree wholeheartedly.

Art NFTs with high quality and value will not exist on L2s. It will be "lower valued" art that will exist on these L2s.

Gaming NFTs or other NFTs like collectables? 100%

Why? Because these assets are more likely to be traded on a regular basis and will want to take advantages of the efficiencies of an L2 like lower transaction costs.

Also there is a big importance on where the L2 lives. If it's built on top of ETH for example, due to the security the chain provides, it has a higher likelihood to attract "higher value" art.

Defi makes 100x more sense to live on L2s. Loans, debit cards, yield farming, etc.

Just my opinion though 💙
