This is the most basic of social and genetic hygiene and you'd spare morally obligated retards from destroying their families and their lives by anchoring them to something that can only take and never give while further burdening the public purse in supporting more permanent wards of the state.

Downs kids have infinite health conditions that sap all time and a lot of wealth from their parents, taking these resources from their normal siblings and usually preventing the birth of any more. Their existence often end marriages and in general causes objectively measurable suffering to their families and when they outlive their parents they become immense burdens that their siblings if any tend to hand off to the public as much as possible because their own lives were stunted by childhood resource divestment.

Defending or enforcing the existence of Trisomy 21 victims at the expense of everything around them is the same weak and childish slave morality that has resulted in immense national debt and half of our national budget going towards a permanent and growing welfare underclass of specific, measurabl nonproductive ethnoracial groups.

At the end of the day humans are animals and you have to maintain the herd's health if you don't want it to collapse, and in rejectingnthis basic necessity you'd superficially virtue signal even if it condemns us all to living in Hell on Earth.

I've met a number of people with down syndrome over the years and the range of disability is very wide - from almost 100% functional and intelligent to quasi vegetable that can't even speak. I don't know if you can detect the severeness beforehand and make your decision accordingly.
