A pesar de buscar esta literal empresa fantasma y nombres variantes, nunca he podido corroborar su existencia. No hay registros o fotos. Lo que sí encontré es la palabra "Macundo" en Doña Bárbara, de Rómulo Gallegos, que significa más o menos lo mismo.

Una de las leyendas urbanas más repetidas de la jerga venezolana es que "Macundales" viene de una compañía estadounidense llamada "Mack & Dale" que, según la versión, fabricaba herramientas para los campos petroleros o cajas de madera para guardar cosas.
