Leaving a toxic relationship is not failure. It is bravery.
It is choosing dignity over humiliation, peace over pain, and a better future for yourself and your children.
You deserve a love that is honest, respectful, and proud to stand beside you, not one that cheats and drains your soul.
The Voice on the Baby Monitor
I thought the voice coming through my daughter’s baby monitor was a hacker.
At 2:17 a.m., I woke up to a man whispering.
Soft.
Almost comforting.
“She’s sleeping peacefully tonight.”
My blood turned to ice.
I grabbed my phone and checked the camera feed.
My daughter was asleep Alone.
The room was empty.
But the voice continued.
“She likes the moonlight.”
I sprinted upstairs.
The young woman met her online boyfriend, and the difference between his photos and his real appearance was too great; her disappointment was palpable.
