@barlowjacob This season he just had. Where he has been the best or 2nd best midfielder in the best league. None of Gonzalez, Kovacic, Kalvin Phillips, Reijnders, Rico Lewis have come close to that. And neither have various other options, talented or not (Tonali, Sangare, Fernandez, Wharton).
@Benjwinst It's going to get much worse for Everton if Man City are actually found guilty. Because then Everton will surely be relegated to non-league as punishment. Maybe have some of their 1980's titles stripped from them, to really set an example of what cheating gets you🥶
Every sign at this refinery in Ireland is in russian. The official website is a .RU domain.
There’s no reason to hide it because local politicians are openly doing it for them.
@RamboFYI I am genuinely curious about watching older seasons like for example 05/06 to look for refereeing errors. Maybe there was way more back then. Probably was. But the trade off with VAR was meant to keep that to a minimum, like single-digit numbers of errors pr. season.
@J_Tanswell How much of Villa's summer is actually dependent on sales? Can you guys strengthen regardless, and enough to handle the demands of Champions League games whilst remaining a top team in the league like you were this season?
The Premier League title race would have entered the final match round with Manchester City two points clear of Arsenal, according to The Athletic’s analysis of key match decisions made by referees and their video assistants.
■ Arsenal, Chelsea and Sunderland benefitted the most from errors
■ Bournemouth earned four fewer points than they should have
■ Fulham should have qualified for the Europa League
■ An extra 17 red cards and 36 penalties should have been awarded
@Refsplaining analyses every key match decision to evaluate how on-field and VAR refereeing decisions shaped the Premier League in 2025-26.

@lukestanley03 It's just a question of the lack of clarity right now. What is the new manager going to try and do with the squad, who are we targeting in the window, and who's leaving. Big question about midfield, and even more so if Rodri were to leave for example.
How has Declan Rice yet again come away with so much credit despite playing central midfield in a team that couldn't string any passes together for two full hours of football?
