Shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Jack Vettriano. I was lucky enough to collaborate with him on projects, such as offering works he generously donated to charities UNHCR and Brain Power. Aways humble, always appreciative and always a total gentleman. I shall miss him.

Discovery: This large Joan Eardley is coming up at auction with @bonhams1793 15th May, after being 'lost' for the past 65 years. Bought at the @RoyalScotAcad 1959, there was never a photographic record of what it looked like. Sun on the Sea, signed, oil on board, 64.5 x 122cm.

Works by Glasgow Girl, Mary 'May' Reid (1897-1986) @bonhams1793 on 11th Oct. Student at @GSofA one of first generations of women to have access to nude models and photography to aid her work. Incredibly rare to have photo of an artist standing in front of her masterpiece.
