Previously, we announced that token mining will soon switch from $PEN to $INK (please update your app to the latest version if you haven’t already). Today, we want to clarify the differences between these two tokens and why both are essential to our ecosystem.

$PEN will be used as the gas fee token on the cPen blockchain when we have the open network, ensuring smooth, secure on-chain transactions. Looking ahead, $PEN will play a key role in the future development and governance of the cPen blockchain.

In contrast, $INK is designed for in-app purchases within the cPen App. Similar in spirit to Telegram’s Star—but with a major upgrade—$INK will be fully on-chain and transferable, giving you enhanced control and flexibility in your app interactions.

Eventually, we plan to separate the cPen blockchain from the cPen app to form the cPen Foundation. Separating functionalities lets us optimize both our blockchain and app experiences:
• $PEN powers blockchain transactions and future governance.
• $INK fuels app-specific features and in-app economies.

Why will we buy cPen tokens?

We previously announced that we would regularly purchase cPen tokens. Based on community feedback, we’d like to clarify/correct our strategy:

Liquidity Pools
Purchasing cPen tokens is not intended to boost liquidity pools. As detailed in our Coin Economics, the Treasury pool already holds reserved liquidity tokens, so there’s no need to buy additional cPen tokens from the market for this purpose.

cPen App Project Development
We will acquire cPen tokens to support the development of the cPen app. Although our Coin Economics includes an Ecosystem Pool, its reserves are allocated for the cPen blockchain ecosystem. As mentioned earlier, the cPen blockchain and cPen app will eventually separate, with a dedicated cPen Foundation overseeing the blockchain ecosystem. Therefore, we’ve decided to regularly buy cPen tokens from the market to strengthen the cPen app ecosystem and drive its development.

Dear Global Pioneers, We only have 60 hours left until the official OM launch!👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😍

I can see that many pioneers are anxiously concerned about how to exchange Pi for fiat in the exchange market. Some are worried that if Pi is listed on the market, we won't be able to maintain GCV. Some critics are using the current Pi price in the exchange market to attack GCV, claiming it's impossible for us to succeed.

All this confusion and criticism stem from ignorance.

Fortunately, CT has arranged everything perfectly for us, so there’s no need to worry about exchange market prices.

CT only needs our GCV. We have put in three years of hard work, and we have succeeded! Now it's up to CT to handle the remaining tasks. We are a team; we are responsible for GCV, while CT is responsible for the code, connecting to external markets, and ensuring that GCV can be adopted.

The only thing pioneers should do is to let go of worries, anxiety, and curiosity. Please refrain from looking at any exchange information. Just wait for the official instructions from CT in 60 hours. If you don’t transfer your Pi, your wealth remains secure in your hands.

CT has everything defined in the code already. If you don’t understand the code, simply follow my advice.

Avoid looking at your group messages and don’t search for exchange market information online. Instead, go watch a movie, catch up on a series, hit the gym, go to work, enjoy some shopping, have coffee, or celebrate with your family and fellow pioneers. Stay confident, and your wealth will be there.

Don’t waste time discussing things in the group, as it occupies a lot of space. Our GCV information has been overshadowed by the anxiety-filled messages from many pioneers.
