This makes me very annoyed because I don’t think that it makes sense and I understand the theory but just because we don’t know which state it is in does not mean it is in both. #msmithchem
@BeardsleyGigi I agree with this because you can recognize that something could go one way or another without saying that it is both. We know that it is not in both, it is in one, and just because we do not know which one still does not mean that it is in both. #msmithchem
@Ella84878923 I agree. Also, how radioactive waves can come from an electron’s energy levels changing from the influence of an outside source. It is interesting how small changes in electrons can change a lot in an atom. #msmithchem
I think that it is really interesting that through radioactivity, one elements creates another one. Also how some elements take so long to go through this process that it would take them longer to do this than the earth has been around. #msmithchem
I think that radioactivity is when the number of protons changes in an atom, through some way that I do not know. I think that the energy or friction of whatever this creates is radioactivity.

I am wondering why the number of neutrons is not the same as the number of protons? If the neutrons just need to space the protons out, then shouldn’t one neutron per proton be enough?

I always thought that the abbreviations for the elements were just random, especially the ones that didn’t sound like the elements, but learning that they actually stand for something is cool.
