Price and underlying value don't stay disconnected forever. Markets have a mean-reverting tendency, historically, the longer a flat patch persists, the higher the odds of an above-average stretch that follows. It's a reason to stay invested through the boring stretch.

@ChanderBhatia01 One needs good capital and recurring infusion of money. Someone with small capital might not be comfortable in this aspect as returns won't be justified. I believe in 2 portfolios, one for trading and one for long term. Being said that, your philosophy is 100% correct.
