@maybebrayyy I’d have dropped him from my Sunday team for that. Stayed onside brilliantly then couldn’t pass it into an empty net.
We are going home at the quarter final stage aren’t we.
@nffc_jezza Paraphrased as “we’re desperate for him to come here but if he doesn’t then he wouldn’t get in the side anyway and he’s not worth the money”
Note to journalists at the press conference announcing the WC squad. Your first two and only questions need to be:
1. Why have you omitted the premier league’s most effective midfielder?
2. Why have you taken a midfielder who doesn’t start for his own mid table club?
@Djoshag@thefootballpark@EFL_Comms I mean the EPL is run by a completely separate organisation. The EFL is run by the FA. That’s why punishments don’t cross between the two.
@BigRedSulk@EFL_Comms So if city get the charges found against them you’d be happy for them to get a few points docked next season and keep all the titles with Liverpool staying in second?
@rippey89@elliottbower Ah maybe or maybe not. He played when he was 21, and it was a WC qualifier. Then again fifa have been known to change the rules when it suits them…
@rippey89@elliottbower Oh yeah - I didn’t read the post as being for this coming World Cup but he’s not going to be far off eligible for the next Euros. That game he played in a poor Brazil side against Argentina seems to have done for him with the Selecao.
@rippey89@elliottbower It’s something like 5 years residency, no more than 3 caps for another country and 3 years since the last senior cap. There’s a weird FIFA ruling in it. Paolo DiCanio was eligible for England at one point IIRC.
