I can’t plan my life more than 6 weeks in advance, got rota’d in to work on the day of my best friend’s wedding and spend my life driving 3hrs down the m4 to see my doctor boyfriend because it’s basically impossible to get a job in the same city. What doctor benefits!?
@BrownJHM@KohanAndres From the lateral position JVP rather than carotid seems more likely. Occurring with each pulse makes cannonball A waves unlikely. C-V waves from tricuspid regurgitation?
Some of Peter Brook’s most delicate and subtle work was probably painted in the autumn, like ‘Wood on a Hill’, a Cumbrian landscape in which the fine detail of the fence and farm buildings contrasts with the stand of trees on the horizon, still shrouded by the early morning mist.
The modernists of the twentieth century destroyed many beautiful towns and cities - replacing homely streets and crafted buildings with soulless eyesores

@MedicBleep hey I'm having an issue with your android app not notifying of bleeps or calls when outside the app. I have all the options for notifications turned on in both the device and app settings
@ProfDFrancis Add to this with time population of asymp HCWs is a complex mix of those working from day 1, those back after having been symptomatic/tested (so may be immune(?) are they even included in denominator?) + those coming from community for e.g. FiY1, academics returning to clinical.
@ProfDFrancis If you selectively remove +ve HCWs from your sample then your % +ve will skew low? 1st week of testing also catches those from prev weeks who would've been removed if tested (how long do u test +ve? swab or serum?) so is artificially high(think histogram w/ wide low first bar)2/3
Finally, you saw our Prime Minister preparing his defence for the public inquiry: “We didn’t fully understand its effects.” I’m afraid that argument won’t succeed. A PHEIC was called on January 30. And then you dropped the ball Prime Minister. That was criminal. And you know it.
He was clear that we are only just R<1. That gives us no headroom for error. The epidemic in care homes is definitely not under control and we are nowhere near ready for test, trace, isolate.
While Toilet Duck and Dettol are trending, here's a reminder of the word 'ultracrepidarian': one who consistently offers opinions and advice on subjects way beyond their understanding.
@NombreHombre Things I did not expect to research today: Are people with nut allergies allergic to acorns? (The answer is no one has checked, there are a few cases of people having anaphylaxis after eating)
