There are doors that open because you knocked, and there are doors that open because someone mentioned your name from the inside. I hope you find people who mention your name in places you’ve never been.
Witches call it magic. Religious people call it prayer. Spiritualists call it manifestation. Atheists call it the placebo effect. Scientists call it quantum physics. Everyone debates its name, but no one denies its existence.
If it’s valid to leave a man because he can’t afford the life you want, then it’s valid for a man to leave a woman once he’s successful because she’s no longer the woman he wants.
You can’t call one empowerment and the other betrayal. 🤷♀️
One thing I’ll never stop finding funny in the dating pool is when women try to gaslight men in their 30s and 40s into dating or marrying their age mates and leaving women in their 20s alone for their own age mates.
I find it especially funny because I don’t know if it’s selective amnesia or if these women have forgotten that we all went to university and saw exactly how dating worked (and still works): the hierarchy and hypergamy that have always been the standard.
A 23-year-old 300L babe will look at her 25-year-old course mate asking her out and tell him he’s a small boy she cannot date. A babe he’s older than, by the way.
If you ever stayed in a school hostel or passed by female hostels on Fridays, you saw cars pull up to pick girls up and return them on Sunday evenings. These were the men they were dating at the time, working class men in their 30s and 40s.
Then a few years later, those same men they said were “not their mates” get to their 30s and 40s, what many consider a man’s prime years, and suddenly they should leave younger women alone?
The same men you refused to date in uni because they were not your mates are now somehow your age mates?
You cannot tell a man he’s a small boy because he’s still building his life and cannot afford the things that attract many modern women, then turn around and gaslight him not to date younger women when he can finally afford those things. You want to eat your cake and have it. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. Life na turn by turn.
I am looking at young people who are proud of graduating from LDC, and I can't stop sighing.
They'll come to the ground and realize that what they studied is not applicable in Uganda. We're a lawless country 🙌
Every time I see a lawyer graduating, instead of congratulating them, I just feel sorry for them. I haven't seen a course that promotes unemployment like law does. But y'all look smart. Congratulations.
This woman will ask for yoghurt on Monday, ice cream on Tuesday, a burger on Wednesday, pork ribs on Thursday, wine on Friday, and an outing on Saturday. Then on Sunday she’ll look at me and ask, “But did you save any money this week?”
Women🙌😂
Mexico won, that means South Korea must finish up South Africa to qualify for the next round. It’s gonna be easy cos they originally don’t mind Asians taking their jobs.
