Mayford Village Society exists to protect the beauty and character of Mayford. Our main priority is the protection of #Mayford´s Green Belt and open spaces.
Mayford is under attack again! A 300-plus home planning application has been submitted by Martin Grant Homes, who are hoping to profit from turning these critically important #Greenbelt fields into #Greybelt. This application is inappropriate and would suffocate our infrastructure

Last Chance to save #Mayford’s Visual separation from built up #Woking.Until recently the north of Egley Rd was proposed for open space and non-development. NOW, it’s under threat again. Please show your support, this is the last chance to object by 5pm Monday 14th December.
Last chance to save #Mayford’s Visual break from built up #Woking. Object by 5pm tomorrow. Until recently the north of Egley Rd was proposed for open space and non-development.Below is the article in this weeks @Woking_NewsMail. #giveusabreak#Greenbelt
The North Field, Egley Road. #Mayford’s last visual break from built-up #Woking. Please write in before 5pm on the 15th November to object to the current modifications that say it can be built on. Let’s keep it in the #Greenbelt. Let’s keep Mayford’s identity!
@shasel1104@CherylAnne1702 Hi Sharon, We would like people to object to the proposed modification that suggests the Northern End of Egley road can be developed. It was originally suggested to left as open space and not to be developed to provide a visual separation between Mayford and Woking. Thank you
I’m also supporting Mayford residents who wish to retain the north field next to Egley Road in the Green Belt. In addition to the environmental benefits of retaining this green field, it is also a vital visual cue re. the separation of Woking and the historic village of Mayford.
