I haven’t talked about this much, but even though many of you love the traditional art style of our games, it has closed many doors for us. We spend hours crafting every single frame and for many publishers, this is a red flag: they want to automate every process and see this approach as a problem.

Of all the places where using AI is dangerous, the most critical one is precisely the ideation stage, where concepts come to life. We may do it better or worse, but I’m not going to leave the art direction of our games in the hands of a machine.

In any case, as is tradition, I’ve bought my lottery ticket. Hopefully I’ll win and be able to hire more real artists for the new project 🤞
