Rabid Responders in Austin, Texas parked directly behind an ICE agent in the middle of the street so he could not back up. He had to tell them multiple times, "Move your fucking car!"

Two warnings is all they should get. If they refuse an order from a federal agent after that, they should be in cuffs and headed to a federal prison. This is getting ridiculous.

Federal law already covers this. It is a crime to forcibly resist, impede, or interfere with an ICE officer doing his job, and that can mean up to a year in federal prison, or up to eight years if they use the car as a trap or put hands on him.

Travis County still has not signed a 287(g) agreement with ICE, even though state law gave the sheriff until Dec. 1, 2026. Texas DPS troopers already have that authority, so ICE is working Austin streets while the county stalls.

On the way back to Dallas and ICE officers are screening IDs still and helping with carry on bags while TSA agents focus on screening bags. From what I saw, all them seem to be interacting with travelers and in a good mood (which is rare to see at airport security as someone who travels a lot).

Tim Pool is right in his analysis. The officer was NOT in front of her vehicle until AFTER she backed up. The front tires then accelerate while they are pointed towards the agent, and appear to spin out on the ICE. This is all the information the ICE agent had in the moment.

Also, there was no reason for her to back up to leave. The road was clear in front of her and the ICE agents were to the left and right of her car. The ICE agent only ended up in front because she backed up.

This leads me to believe she wasn’t just trying to leave.
