There have been 11 deaths on Mayo's roads so far this year.
@RSAIreland is intensifying existing public education and awareness campaigns which target the main contributory factors for deaths, and serious injuries, and target high-risk groups.

As stated earlier before Colm joined the ranks of An Garda Síochána he was a Retained Firefighter in his local Charlestown Fire Station with Mayo County Fire Brigade. He's seen here pictured on his last drill night 25yrs ago (3rd from right)
Great news! Yesterday evening, the Fire and RNLI teams from Achill successfully carried out a joint training drill at Ce Beag. In the case of an emergencies on our offshore islands, the RNLI can provide transportation for our crew members and their equipment. @AchillRNLI

St Coleman's College in Claremorris had its first visit from the @BFireSafeSchool program today. The Fire Science Module was led by SSO Kevin Judge and FF Derek Reilly, who provided theoretical information and practical demonstrations.
An emergency exercise took place 2day with @MayoCoCo@MayoFireService@GardaTraffic@IAApress@HSELive & @aaiu_ireland The exercise tested the response of all agencies involved & is a requirement under licencing regulations. The flight schedule was unaffected during this exercise
