Honored to have joined the announcement of GE Aerospace Foundation’s additional investment in the North Shore Workforce Investment Board’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Expansion Program (AMTEP) at the Ronald Arthur Beckett Machining Center at Lynn Tech.
With 18% of Lynn jobs in manufacturing and a gap in local workforce participation, training residents for high-quality jobs not only empowers individuals, but also supports the growth and success of our employers and the community as a whole.
We wanted to take a moment to remind our community that the Mayor's Office offers valuable immigration resources to residents. The resources include informational packets and "Know Your Rights" red cards.
Grateful for the opportunity to join the Lynn Senior Center for their recent Black History Month Fashion Show, an event that showcased the beauty of traditional African attire and vibrant cultural expressions.
We appreciate the NSJA for their ongoing commitment to organizing this event that uplifts the Black community and for showcasing such an inspiring display of local Black excellence in the City Hall foyer.
Congratulations to all the recipients of the North Shore Juneteenth Association's (NSJA) Local Black Excellence Awards!
Black history is Lynn history and we are always thrilled to pay tribute to the stories and triumphs of these Black leaders, in their communities and our own.
In a divisive time with diversity equity, and inclusion being targeted, I want to reaffirm my commitment to these values as Mayor. Dr. King’s vision reminds us that the fight for justice is ongoing and requires collective courage and action.
As we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this year, we reflect on his enduring impact on justice and equity. His words and actions continue to inspire Lynn and beyond, guiding efforts to create a more just society.
