You never know how much a small act of kindness can help someone in need.

Today on #PinkShirtDay we remember Chuck McNeill who was bullied for wearing a pink polo shirt on his first day of high school. In support, his peers showed up wearing pink shirts to school, too.

18 years later, we don’t remember the bullies who made fun of Chuck — we remember the act of kindness of his friends.

A great reminder for today, and always.

For years— Ari, Pala and the team at the Mississauga Tamil Association have made an invaluable impact in our community.

Whether it’s through youth-focused programs in traditional music or festivals like the Pongal Festival held last month — they are consistently working toward enriching our city.

To the team at the MTA — thank you for all that you do. It was a pleasure to have you at City Hall today to thank you in person.

It always an honour to attend concerts organized by our local churches whose talents and spirit are impeccable.

On Saturday, I joined the All Serbian Saints Orthodox Church in #Mississauga to attend their St. Sava Church Choir’s Reception.

Our city is proud to be called home by thousands of Serbians who add to the mosaic of Mississauga—it was a pleasure to attend and connect with some of them this weekend.

As of now, we are closely monitoring the situation following the plane crash at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Peel Regional Police, along with emergency services, are responding to the incident.

We are deeply concerned for those injured, including the pediatric patient who has been transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Our thoughts are with them and their family.

While all passengers and crew are accounted for, we will continue to provide support to those affected by this incident.

Our local teams are working diligently with authorities to ensure safety and provide necessary assistance during this challenging time.
