One week ago, the people of Brookfield spoke. I am deeply honored and grateful to have been re-elected to serve as your Mayor for another four years. It has been the honor of my life to serve this community, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue doing a job I truly love for another four years. Thank you to every resident who placed their trust in me. This victory belongs to our community. It was made possible by neighbors who stepped up, those who put up a yard sign, volunteered their time, shared their talents, and supported this campaign in so many meaningful ways. I am especially grateful to my family. Your strength, support, and belief carried me through every moment of this campaign. This election brought a level of attention our city has never experienced. As widely reported, unprecedented outside spending was directed into this race in an effort to influence the outcome. In the end, Brookfield made its voice clear. Our future will be decided by the people who live here, not by outside interests. At the same time, recent headlines have tested our community in other ways. Brookfield, you deserve better. Our city leaders should reject hate, not contribute to it or give it a platform. Let me be clear, there is no place in our city for hateful or divisive rhetoric of any kind. That is not who we are, and it is not what we stand for. I will continue to lead with respect, integrity, and a commitment to bringing the people of our community together. Brookfield is a truly wonderful city. I am incredibly proud of the success of Brookfield. From our top ranked schools to our beautiful parks and strong neighborhoods, this is a community we are fortunate to call home. That pride is shared by the people who live here, and it is what makes Brookfield truly special. Looking ahead, Brookfield’s future is bright. With the development of the new public market and continued revitalization around Brookfield Square, we are building on a strong foundation and creating new opportunities for residents and businesses alike. Whether you voted for me or not, I will continue to lead for you. I lead for all of Brookfield. I lead for every person who calls this city home. Thank you again for your trust. Together, we will keep Brookfield, Brookfield. - Mayor Steve Ponto

The Brookfield mayor’s race is one of the most closely watched in Wisconsin’s Spring Election, pitting a popular, successful incumbent against a radical leftist in a test of how blue Waukesha County is getting. https://t.co/IadIbjAUuF
