Tasha Williamson is a mother, an advocate for the people, founder of 3 community collaborative's which respond to trauma, running for Mayor of San Diego 2020.
@realDonaldTrump you have held back equipment, protective gear and more test kits for a week now because you are worried about the cost. Why are you not worried about the cost of your vacations and golf trips?
We The People demand you send federal assistance across the US now.
@davincidiva@LorenaSGonzalez I’m sorry that politicians did not consider the ripple effects of what they thought was a good idea to go after Uber and Lyft.
For the love of the people. Can we halt all AB5 stuff until we get everyone tested, everyone recovering, everyone paid through this epidemic. I rather just make sure people have money to get essentials and pay some of their bills w/o fear their employers will be fined & jobs end.
@MikeH33889764@LorenaSGonzalez Just trying to help. At the end of the day, we just lost an elderly community member to Coronavirus. I had to call 911 for a younger community member who was refused testing and has difficulty breathing. He was sent home because of his age. Now ain’t the time for AB5 stuff.
I have no time to argue w/ people who want 2 b right about impacts 2 people they forgot. I need 2 understand why people n their 20’s w/ clear signs of difficulty breathing r being sent home & refused testing. I’m not arguing about money, I’m fighting for justice & people’s lives.
@LorenaSGonzalez I don’t feel this way about you. I don’t even know you like that. People who are having a difficult time with UI, some losing income and are contractors do. We all see your post and theirs about AB5. All I’m saying is now is not the time for AB5 stuff.
This is not going as smooth as you are referring. Instead of continuing the dialogue about AB5 which many are scared to death about, than just help them understand how to use government resources. Many gigs have stopped because the mini lockdowns. They have not been terminated.
@MayorTasha If you are filing UI, it’s often because your job has ended... and that’s the only hope you have for income. Misclassified workers deserve UI.
@LorenaSGonzalez I’m advocating for you all to stop the AB5 stuff so workers can be assured that during this pandemic applying will not harm them after the pandemic. Clearly, they don’t trust u so right now they need u to build trust with those impacted who did not fall under a misclassification.
@LorenaSGonzalez I am hearing some are having a difficult time understanding the impacts to applying for UI. They are afraid to apply because they don’t want a AB5 investigation started on their contractors business.
The Gov’t bail out could start with those who are unemployed, who lost gigs, who have no income. UI, SSI is super low and will not help people recover the income they lost. Reduce the ripple effects. I know you all are working hard. Things were missed. #WeAreInThisTogether

@LorenaSGonzalez This is the very thing I am talking about. People aren’t working because businesses closed due to a mandate from the government. They are not misclassified. The government stopped workflow to help slow down a pandemic. People are unsure this doesn’t help them.
