Sharing strategies on an anchor chart is so powerful, but adding the name of the student next to the strategy being displayed in our anchor chart takes it to a whole new level 🔥 thank you @MrTInTheMorning for this idea 🫶🏼

Thanks @MayraAVJ12 & @MrTInTheMorning…you all took us to ‘high heights’ at this evening’s K-5 Math PLC as we unpacked the rigor levels of the standards and the @openupresources supports that can enable alignment to these rigor levels. #OpenUpMath @mrsstipemath
These @openupresources K-12 Math community coaches are amazing! They shared how they amplify discourse in their classrooms with routines! I always have a takeaway from these sessions! Stay tuned for more supports…#OpenUpMath
@Ms_E_McLaurin taught me how MLR6: three reads really helps our students slow down and truly get an understanding of what the problem is asking for. Can’t wait to give this another try #openupmath@YimiyaP @mrsstipemath @openupresources

Q5/A5 These platforms are filled with tons of questions and responses that encourage me to take a step back and reflect on what I am doing and identify changes I can make for the better and what I can share in hopes to provide different ideas to fellow educators #OpenUpMath
Q4/A4 I am most excited to connect with other educators who are wanting to bounce off ideas on how to continue to engage our students and help them develop that passion and love for math! #OpenUpMath

Q1/A1 I would love to hear about others' experiences involving assisting those students who may need an extra push in a whole or small group setting. #OpenUpMath

Q5/A5 My goal is to help all my Ss feel comfortable sharing their thinking and thought process without fearing being wrong- with the help of warm ups/instructional routines this can be achieved allowing many strategies to be shared helping all Ss move towards mastery #OpenUpMath
Q3/A3 By encouraging as many strategies to be shared in order to help every student hear one they like and feel comfortable using (I also make sure to display each strategy and give the same value to each) #OpenUpMath
Q2/A2 My students know that their strategy and thinking has more value then the correct answer to me-which is why I push myself to find the time to meet with each student to listen to them explain their work and the decisions that they made. #OpenUpMath
