Sylvain Nayituriki is one of many children that were supported by First Lady, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame in their education journey.
Through @Imbuto Foundation, countless young people have been encouraged to dream bigger, work harder, and believe in their potential.
Thank you, @FirstLadyRwanda, for believing in Rwanda's young people and for creating opportunities that continue to transform lives.
This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame received Amb. @claverGatete, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa @ECA_OFFICIAL. Their discussions focused on Rwanda's economic growth trajectory and its alignment with the country's long-term development goals.
This afternoon, President Kagame also met with H.E. Thabo Mbeki, who is in Kigali for the Africa Mindset Reset Forum. Their discussions focused on Forum’s objectives, and the need for good governance to anchor Africa’s mindset shift.
“Sports is not just talent or recreation. Sports is actually an economy. Sports is a big business.”

There are moments when you look at Rwanda and quietly remember how far we have come.
Behind that journey stands a man who, through some of our nation’s darkest and most difficult chapters, chose to keep believing that Rwanda could rise, rebuild and determine its own future.
President #PaulKagame’s story is intertwined with a generation that refused to surrender Rwanda to tragedy.
For some, he is a President.
For many of us, he represents courage, resilience, sacrifice and the stubborn belief that Rwanda deserves dignity.
May history remember not only the battles fought, but the Rwanda that rose from them.
The journey continues and Rwanda keeps moving forward.

It is not the first time President #Kagame has defended the media and the importance of press freedom in Rwanda.
Rwanda has continued to address questions surrounding press freedom and media independence, while strengthening institutions and practices that promote access to information.
President Kagame has repeatedly demonstrated that a free and responsible media has an important role to play in Rwanda’s development.

My tonight’s take home:
✊🏾
“We do what is right to protect ourselves, we do it without fear, favour, day or night, anytime. We are happy to do that!
Actually it is a pleasure to do the hardest task to protect ourselves” President Kagame.
#PerezidaWacu
"WE ARE A COUNTY THAT CAN'T AFFORD TO MESS UP"
That was my main takeaway from yesterday's press conference.
Given the recent efforts to crack down on companies poisoning Rwandan youth with moonshine, and the ongoing situation with the DRC regarding the FDLR, I was encouraged to hear the president speak with such consistent intentionality about protecting his own citizens.
WATCH: President #Kagame, alongside other high-level officials, arrive at the Kigali Convention Centre to join more than 2,500 participants at the inaugural Africa Mindset Reset Forum.
The two-day forum is being held under the theme “From Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism.”
