Announcing the Mockingbird Foundation Seattle Challenge. Run it virtually or show up at the Green Lake running trail at 10 AM on 4/15 and do the 2.8 miles there.

The Outtime The Timer certificates are out and the Sloth has been mailed. Congrats to Lisa Nesnay for earning the sloth!
I did notice that not everyone entered their times. I did it by those who did.
Note for those running in person on Saturday: if you’re ubering it, the best landmark will be Greg’s Cycles. Then look for this ridiculous street sign and follow the path towards the lake. That’ll get you to the start/end of the trail. It’s dried out this week.
There's a UPS delay with the shirts. Now expected to hit Seattle on Monday. I'll do the best I can here to get as many people their kits before race day.
Note: I will have extra medals and bibs (but not shirts alas) that I can bring to Green Lake at 10 if people want to last second get them for a donation to the Mockingbird Foundation.
To give an update:
Bibs are here.
Medals should be here early next week.
I'm waiting on the shirts to be printed and shipped.
I hope to have everything out in time before the shows.
For this week's 30 minute challenge, I'm going to go back to Phish. Specifically to 2016 and the Crimes of the Mind, Golden Age that started set 2 of 10/28. I'm hoping for a golden age running round the lake this weekend!
Welcome to the weekly 30 minute Green Lake playlist post. First, a friendly reminder that if you want to run the race, registration ends next week on 3/22. Sign up here: https://t.co/AeAenwg8AJ
You don't have to be in Seattle to run this, but either way you get the schwag.
But at least I'll get one more training run in.
Remember to sign up for the Mockingbird Foundation Seattle Challenge. Proceeds go to music education!

Tomorrow's forecast for my Green Lake lap is 35 with a snow rain/mix. So what better call for my playlist than an upbeat mixture of Grateful Dead songs about snow and rain. I might be run out in the cold rain and snow, be left out in the pouring rain, and run into a rainstorm...
Welcome to another installment of the weekly 30 minute playlist. Recall that every week leading up to the Mockingbird Foundation Seattle Challenge ( sign up at https://t.co/AeAenwg8AJ to support music education!) , I will be doing a practice lap of Green Lake.
...with the infectious first half of the I'm in Your Mind Fuzz album. I find that this combination of songs is a great way to get over the hump when I'm burnt out on exercise but know that I have to keep going: high energy that changes enough to keep my ear interested!
