🚀 Exciting News for #Cinema4D Motion Designers!
Introducing "HB Spline to MoSpline" – a game-changer in spline animations. ✨ Thanks to ChatGPT, I've crafted this script to simplify your workflow. And guess what? It's FREE! 🎁: https://t.co/tf0JVjWsng 🚀 #MotionDesign#Freebie
Ubisoft La Forge open-sourced its PBR material model CHORD, together with ComfyUI custom nodes for end-to-end AI material generation.
This is a real step toward generative AI in AAA game pipelines and demonstrates how ComfyUI has grown from an open-source community tool to a production platform.
Huge thanks to the @Ubisoft La Forge team for giving back real production-grade tools to the open source community.
@nosemangr Thanks for getting back, I have an animated cloner weight map that I'd like to use to drive several other animations for other fields and modifiers, but I want to time offset the animation. It would be great if C4D had a feature for this! Cheers!
@nosemangr Hey, is there a way to time-shift field data in FieldLists in C4D like Houdini's Time Shift node? I don't want to use keyframe time offset—looking for an approach based on field data itself. Your tutorials are always amazing! #Cinema4D#C4D#Python
Hey @Expresso_Mech,do you know if an embedded Python Field can access user data from tags like Vertex Maps or Field Drivers? Curious to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
Hi @aturtur , quick question for you as a Cinema 4D Python expert: Is it possible for a Python Field (embedded) to access user data from tags like Vertex Maps or Field Drivers? Would love to hear your thoughts or insights on this. Thanks!

@nosemangr @ChatGPT Thanks, @nosemangr, it’s working (although only in 2025 for some reason)! Really appreciate your help 🙏. Hopefully, we’ll see a built-in field/node in Cinema 4D soon to expand this kind of flexibility. Would be a game-changer! 👌
Hey @nosemangr , is there a way to access polygon areas via Fields in #C4D? I’ve tried using Python Fields and even got @ChatGPT to help me write some Python code, but no luck so far. Any guidance would be super helpful! 🙏 #Cinema4D#3D#MoGraph
@nosemangr @ChatGPT @nosemangr Yes, exactly! I think I managed to do something similar using a Matrix object with Enable set to 100%. Then, I used a Plain Effector to colorize the clones and a Formula Effector based on the clone scales (sx, sy, sz), setting the color to pure red.
@nosemangr @ChatGPT Afterward, in the Selection Tag, I used a Channel Convert (value set to red) and linked the Matrix as the source. Adjusting tolerance allowed me to adjust the selection range based on size
It's not the simplest solution, but it works for now
@TvanHelsdingen This is what I love about Houdini - sometimes the simplest tweak in one node can have cascading effects, making everything work better. Your body just proved that principle in real life lol
