To my administration in the County Government of Kisumu, the transformation of agriculture remains central in empowering communities, securing livelihoods, and expanding economic opportunity.
The Kisumu Dairy Development Centre (KDDC), situated on 25 acres in Nyangore Village, Chemelil Ward, Muhoroni Sub-County, is one of the strategic investments we have made to strengthen the livestock sector across our county.
Established to improve livestock genetics, enhance dairy productivity, and support farmers through modern breeding technologies, the Centre is laying the foundation for a more competitive and sustainable dairy industry.
Beyond genetic improvement, KDDC is designed to strengthen the entire dairy value chain through milk aggregation and value-addition services, while serving as a centre of excellence where farmers can acquire modern dairy production skills and knowledge.
This investment reflects our commitment to long-term planning, productive partnerships, and the deliberate creation of opportunities for our people. It is through such interventions that we aspire to stimulate growth, expand incomes, and build resilient local economies.
While there is still work ahead, the progress made affirms that we are moving in the right direction. Having already hosted several self-help groups from Muhoroni Sub-County, the Centre remains open to all as we continue working towards a more prosperous and inclusive Kisumu. #TichTire
The petition on Odious Debts coming this 28th April 2026 will be a very interesting one.
IMF thinks that they can commit economic terrorism and walk away with it?
Immunity does not justify impunity and they must be answerable for economic terrorism they've committed in this country.
They cannot use crooks in government to enslave Kenyans and walk away with it.
You give crooks odious debts to service their lavish lifestyles and expect Kenyans to pay?

@AnyangNyongo Prof @AnyangNyongo what future are you shaping and for who if people are being beaten, injured and "killed" at daytime in Kisumu. What future sir!!!!!
This week has reminded us why the rule of law must always prevail over goon culture. What happened to Raphael Tuju in Nairobi and to me in Kisumu should concern every Kenyan who believes in justice and lawful dispute resolution.
Businesses, property rights, and institutions cannot be run through intimidation and hired gangs. Kenya must remain a country governed by courts, not goons.
And to those in power, don’t attempt to grab everything - allow other Kenyans to also enjoy the little they have.

Without this, and the high unemployment rate in Africa!! HELB is likely to become a life-cash-cow for the government and life-strain to the most of the young people.
The 2010 Constitution of Kenya, specifically Article 43(1)(c), guarantees every person the right to be free from hunger and to have adequate food of acceptable quality. Something needs to be URGENTLY done. @MutahiKagwe_KE@_KithureKindiki
