EFF Deputy Secretary-General, Honourable @LeighAnnMathys, called out the Acting Minister of Police, Firoz Cachalia, for his remarks about a “questionable” Public Protector during the Ad Hoc Committee meeting investigating allegations made by Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.

The DSG asked the Acting Minister to name the so-called “questionable” Public Protector, but Firoz Cachalia refused. The DSG then insisted that he either name the Public Protector or withdraw his statement.

The Acting Minister subsequently withdrew his remarks.
