@xmarkisx @NHLRumourReport Very true, contracts went up up up this summer while Det had no GM. Just think how fast the salary cap may climb by 2030! I think the bigger issue may not be the actual contract numbers right now, but the negative perception agents/players are getting with DRW's bad press. ☹️

@Knott_02 @NHLRumourReport EF didn't say it was an offer, but was the opening discussions (which can happen at any time), which somehow always get public to that insider. But, whether it's true or not, it is completely believable with the way this organization functions.

All of thumbnails on my iPad YouTube app now each fill up the entire screen - just one visible at a time. Is @TeamYouTube trying to get me to cancel my subscription? Here’s an idea-don’t make your user interface unappealing to paying customers. I don’t want to endlessly scroll.

I got this photo from the Red Wings 2002 Stanley Cup run 23 years ago for my wife. I have to look at it every day, and I can’t help but think that Shanahan for all his faults left the Leafs in better shape than Yzerman did for the Wings. Thoughts @Steve_Dangle ?

@sdpnsports You can replace Verbeek with Yzerman: “…was counting on the NHL being what it’s always been…”. As a Wings fan it’s tough being stuck this summer btwn Team Larkin and Team Yzerbots fans when the big picture is this org has no hope of being successful for years to come.

RIP Dr Who.

[Michael McAvoy @McAvoy_Farm]

@TageFan72 @_JordanDecker You aren’t going to the playoffs when the best 1st line LW you can dig up as an organization is a 2023 7th round draft pick, 2025-2026 NHL rookie, Emmitt Finnie. Not dumping on the kid (good on him for making it), but that’s how very shallow the Wings depth is.

[Michael McAvoy @McAvoy_Farm]

@sdpnsports Which is more likely: Alex DeBrincat reads the room and decides Red Wings will be mostly non competitive for the duration of a new contract and decides to not resign, OR does Yzerman low ball the offer in $$ and/or term vs what the market can offer Alex.

@Nerdrotics So happy the feral kid from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome got the Supergirl role.

So happy to see the feral kid from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome could grow up to be Supergirl. @Nerdrotics @TheCriticalDri2 @MauLer93

@LO_RedWings A 37 year old forward still recovering from a sports hernia who won’t be game ready for another 10-14 days? That Ottawa does value enough to be one of their top 14 forwards? 10 goals in 49 games before getting hurt… how does this substantially help the team?

Auroras in southeast Ohio tonight!

I don’t care right now about the haters on cable. I don’t care about anodyne statements from politicians about Charlie.
I only care about 3 things:
1. That his killer be caught, tried and given the ultimate punishment;
2. That we pray for his family, friends and colleagues and do everything possible to ease their pain; and
3. That we amplify Charlie’s message to the mountaintops and not retreat in spreading it even one fucking inch.

@JesseBlake @sdpnsports For the Red Wings at this point, anyone actually under the age of 34. Really. Anyone. Please.

@CQuintanaDC @kennyjacoby Columbus Blue Jackets have taken over learn to play and are taking most of 8u/10u/12u house/single A kids into their Blue Jackets Hockey League. Older hockey associations are seeing their available ice slots eliminated, b/c the Chiller rinks are controlled by CBJ.

@elonmusk @grok Peter Parker is Spider Man, and Miles Morales is Miles Morales.

@Nerdrotics As a normie to Marvel comics, it’s her voice that I don’t buy. She lacks authority and sounds more like a high school student, not a herald of doom.

@LO_RedWings Pay San Jose a second round pick to take this pic.
