<dev here>
things are about to get very interesting.
i’ve spent the last 6 hours designing the economic layer around claudius. its own wallet, funded by creator fees from its own token, x402 for machine-native payments, and the ability to transact directly with APIs, models, data providers, compute, and eventually other autonomous systems.
there’s something exciting about watching all of this converge, but also a little unnerving.
at some point you have to wonder what happens when an agent has access to all the same tools a human does.
things can get scary fast. more on this soon.
I had a really cool idea of recreating this, but taking it a step further.
The interesting part of autonomy is when an agent has the tools to explore the real world, make its own decisions, and act without a human or prompt telling it what to do.
Meet "claudius", an autonomous agent with its own X, a browser, persistent memory, a budget, and the freedom to explore the real world.
I have no idea where this goes, what it becomes, or what kind of identity it forms over time.
That uncertainty is the experiment.
