Recording engineer Brian Humphries would have been so proud to see this album top the UK album chart. Brian passed in 2024. When I interviewed him about his work with Wings we spent 15 minutes talking Macca and 75 minutes talking Pink Floyd and WYWH.
@PeteSounds2025@UMG The original Anthology sets were my gateway to the Beatles, and the reason why the McCartney Legacy books exist. This new release has turned out to be the biggest disappointment since Macca canned his Archive series.
@RichardAlvien@UMG Friends who ordered from HMV have their box sets in hand, now 6 days after release I have nothing other than an inbox full of AI generated information what amounts to nothing.
@tea_and_bikkies@deystreet In the intro to his new Wings book McCartney confesses that prior to his bust in January 1980 “the inspiration had already started to move elsewhere” - confirming our narrative that he lost interest in Wings in 1979. Maybe the bust was a subconscious act of sabotage after all.

I just wanted to say, this is bloody brilliant! 🤩 Two big Macca thumbs up to Paul @sdedition for making it happen. The 5.1 mixes are a next level, truly immersive listening experience. ‘Hi, Hi, Hi’ has never sounded so good 👌🏻
I’m honoured to see my interview with Tony Clark in Paul McCartney’s new Wings book. Allan and I spent a decade documenting Macca’s 70s journey, and it looks like our two books proved very useful to the team that made this. It’s flattering to know our work is held in high regard.
It’s funny, no one in the press picked up on this story when we first broke it three years ago. The journalist in question was Paul Dacre. https://t.co/MRiunD20Qo
@deebee_now No sarcasm at all. It’s flattering to be referenced in a major release by the man himself. And it’s even more flattering to know that Macca’s people are using our books as reference material.
These books are absolutely brimming with captivating & valuable information to any Paul McCartney fan or music lover in general. If you only ever read one series of books about Paul McCartney read these! You'll be so glad you did! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
