Looking at this picture from Halifax in a very different light. We didn't always agree, but I always appreciated talking with Senator Lewis. Always learnt something.

Todd always seemed to be in it for the right reasons. He will be missed by many.

@wheatgrowers @gmjochum I don't think it's right to say they didn't try. There clearly wasn't a willing partner on the other side.

So if giving it the old college try means negotiating against yourself I am not sure that would have been a better outcome.

@svhs1985 @realagriculture @shaunhaney @realloudlyndsey @KelvinHeppner I think it is hard to imagine government coming into bailout land prices, but that is partly because I think there is enough pent up demand that it will take a lot to drive prices down.

If prices did fall I think gov't would start by offering credit support, but that's a big if!

I think we would need twice as many cows and twice as much land to make it a job. We are an awkward size, a big small farm.

Most other farms our size have disappeared around home.

So depends on the audience we are talking to and why we are doing it...
