McDowell wrestling heavyweight Edward Cervantes claims the 7A West Regional Championship earlier this afternoon at A.L. Brown High School.

We will have more on Eddie’s weekend at regionals and more later today.

The NCHSAA State Wrestling Championships begin Thursday in Greensboro.

It’s been a big night for four McDowell female wrestlers as Natalia Trejo (126 pounds), Bella Taylor (145), Addison Jones (152) and Izzy Dvorak (185) have all qualified for next week’s 7A State Wrestling Championships.

Regional championship bouts are ongoing at Southwest Guilford High School, we will have a full recap of the 7A West Regional Women’s Tournament coming up later.

Local @TitansFastball alum Dusty Revis has been traded to the @Reds . Revis was a 2021 grad of McDowell High School and 11th round pick in last summer’s @MLB draft by Seattle.
