opened twitter for the first time in like a year to thirst after someone and was immediately rage-baited by like three different posts on my home page. get me outta here
I’m afraid to say you must still be good. It is tempting to sink into the mud and let it close over your head, but you must still be good because the world needs your goodness. Take all the time you need and then we’ll begin together.
Despair is the liquor of the enemy. Of oppression. Abstain from it. As always, at the end of the day we only have one another.
Empathy, community, and education will be key moving forward. We will need each other now more than ever. Organize, educate, uplift. Love you all 🫶🏾
i'm going to be clinging to things like art, community, and empathy not just in the days to come, not just in the following years, but my entire life. those are the only things that make sense to me even when the rest of the world doesn't
Please take this moment to be sad and grieve because America has failed us.
But when you are done, please continue to fight for your POC, queer, femme, and trans siblings/friends.
It’s a very scary time for us right now and we need to know we are not alone.
Not gonna glibly act like “it’s all good! We have the power of love!” But as everything collapses around us, if we go down, it will never, ever be alone, and they can’t ever take that away from us
ethel cain on the election:
"if you voted for trump, i hope that peace never finds you. instead, i hope clarity strikes you someday like a clap of lightning and you have to live the rest of your life with the knowledge and guilt of what you've done and who you are as a person."
sorry to be this person but the tweets are starting. please do not leave minorities in red states behind , you have no idea how hard we fight every single day to win against gerrymandering and undemocratic supermajorities. every day is an uphill battle we cannot win w/o community
all i can say is live. you have to live. if you’re trans, queer, a woman, bipoc, disabled, an immigrant: you must live. we have to support each other. we have to be visible and loud if and when we can. and above all else we have to live
no matter the outcome of this election: organize, build local community, build strength in masses. elections aren't the only time politics happen, it also happens on the streets, in the community and by mutually supporting each other.
I 100% understand the overwhelming doom of climate issues but as someone working in the environmental justice + climate mitigation field PLZZZZ DO NOT LET CLIMATE DOOMISM CONSUME YOU🥹😭
